“MOMS has been a great group to be part of and a place to connect with other women who are in a similar place in life to me, mothering several young children.  Through sharing our stories and “how we are really doing”, I have realized that the challenges and emotions I have experienced as a mom are “normal”.  The women who come to our group are encouraged and affirmed in their roles as mothers, a role that is not always valued in our culture.  I have seen the women in my group become more confident as parents, gain a new understanding of the significance of this “job”, and grow and develop into even better moms as they encourage one another.  MOMS has been a lifeline to many of them, an island of calm and restoration in the sometimes-tumultuous ocean of life with small children." - Deanna VanWoudenberg
