MOMS Philosophy

MOMS is a non-profit, Canadian-based program designed to strengthen parenting skills, marriage, and family life using Biblical truths and resources.  It is a “friendship evangelism” tool and is intended to come alongside local church women’s ministries.

MOMS Purpose

1. To provide a network that encourages and equips moms to be the best mothers they can be.
2. To provide mothers the opportunity for personal growth through developing their skills and talents.
3. To provide a safe place for women to share their struggles and concerns related to raising a family.
4. To provide mature women the opportunity to mentor younger mothers.

MOMS Statement of Faith

MOMS operates through local Chapters and corporate events:

MOMS Chapters

Locally, MOMS chapters meet for two hours each week from the beginning of October through the end of May. The childcare program, Bumble Bees, runs simultaneously for children from newborn to 5 years of age. Each week begins with a 30-minute registration and coffee time, followed by announcements and a door prize drawing. Each week has a different focus including DIY (do it yourself) classes, discussion groups or elective classes, guest speakers or a special feature.

MOMS Corporate Events

MOMS hosts corporate events such as:

• Annual Conference (March 27th 2010) – a one-day event designed to encourage, educate and rejuvenate mothers.  The conference features keynote speakers, break out sessions, shopping, specialty coffee and door prizes.
• Annual General Meeting (June) – features program information and a guest speaker addressing a relevant subject for families.
